High state subsidies for gas-tight tank covers
The German federal ministry for food and agriculture [BMEL] has issued a new directive to promote investments in emission-reducing measures. The aim is to increase the proportion of organic fertiliser in biogas plants and at the same time reduce emissions.
For the gas-tight covering of fermentation residue stores, the new funding level is 40% of the investment sum. AGROTEL offers two different emission protection roofs, which take into account the new regulations on immission control. Water ingress is prevented, odour and ammonia emissions are reduced by 95%, and at the same time the nitrogen content and storage volume of the slurry remain constant.
AGROTEL’s patented free-standing domed roof is ideal for existing and new tanks up to 22 m in diameter. The tank does not have to be emptied or cleaned, so the roof can be installed during on-going operations. The roof consists of a self-supporting, hot-dip galvanised steel construction made of double T-beams, which are dimensioned to suit the diameter of the container and local wind and snow loads. The covering is made of a high-quality technical textile (flame-retardant, self-extinguishing, anti-mould treated and UV-stable).
The AGROTEL emission protection roof with central support is manufactured for containers with diameters of up to 40 metres, or larger on request. A supporting belt substructure is attached to the V4A stainless steel centre support and tensioned to the tank edge by means of block ratchets. The membrane cover is mounted on top of this.
With both solutions, practical service openings and pipe penetrations can be fitted as required.
