"Since our calves have been growing up in the AGROTEL Cosyhome, they are healthier, happier and more full of life!"

A paradise for calves, in the middle of Upper Franconia. Find out in the video, why the Böhner family decided to build an AGROTEL Cosyhome Calf Home!

    The project at a glance

Two years ago, Lukas Böhner decided to build a new calf barn. The concept of the AGROTEL Cosyhome calf village impressed him right away – so a 205 m2 calf paradise was built the same year. Four spacious group igloos with an expandable run with partitioning, feeding and self-containment grates enable the farmer to divide the calves into homogeneous groups.

The light and air conditions inside are similar to open-air housing. One long side can be opened completely by roll-up wind protection curtains. In addition, gable and side walls have been equipped with light- and air-permeable panels. Lots of daylight also enters the barn through the white roof tarpaulin. It also ensures a neutral indoor climate.

But it is not only the calves who now live in a more relaxed environment; the Böhner family also benefits from the new system. The calf village can be managed by just one person. Feeding, caring for the calves, mucking out – everything can now be done in next to no time with minimum effort, because the Cosyhome can be accessed by machines from all sides.
