A covered bulk material storage facility for REMONDIS Recycling GmbH

As a global specialist in the recycling of glass and plastic waste into raw materials, REMONDIS needs a sophisticated storage system. A new monopitch roof hall for storing bulk materials was built at the site in Edenkoben near Mannheim to address this.

    The project at a glance

REMONDIS Recycling stands for optimal recycling chains. Perfect logistics and modern facilities are the only way to achieve the ambitious processing targets. One of the focal points of the range of services is the recycling and processing of packaging materials such as PET bottles. Also textile recycling is one of the core services. It is mainly paper and plastic waste that is stored at the site in Edenkoben, before being fed back into the recycling chain.

For the proper separation of goods, a storage hall made of slim double-T girders was built, divided into three areas by partition walls made of concrete blocks. The monopitch roof shape also meets the requirements of the recycling company, as it creates large entrance heights. This facilitates the loading and unloading of large vehicles. If necessary, the roof can be quickly and flexibly extended to a larger storage area.
