Astrein gelagert: Zwei Satteldachhallen für die Holz Schiller GmbH

The storage of wood on a professional scale requires skill. With a total of 640 employees at 4 locations, Holz Schiller GmbH is one of the largest producers of wooden components in Europe. At the site in Regen, two textile hangar systems were built to meet all industry and customer-specific requirements.

Over 250 years of experience in the wood processing industry make Holz Schiller GmbH one of the market leaders for innovative wood components in Europe. The product range extends from glued laminated timber to elements for windows, doors and façades.

The company attaches great importance to ensuring short delivery times. For this reason, large quantities of glulam have to be stored in various dimensions and in a well-organised manner. So an AGROTEL hall system was developed, meeting all of the relevant requirements: Maximum storage volume on a small area, dry indoor climate and systematic entrances and exits for large machines. Two beam halls now cover almost 1100 m2 of storage space. Due to the limited space, the halls were adapted and the fronts partially slanted.

There was also a customised solution with regard to the indoor climate: the halls benefit from natural ventilation thanks to gable-side openings and the use of wind protection doors. In addition, dynamic ventilators in the ridge area guarantee a dry, neutral indoor climate.
